Born in Plumstead south east London, after leaving school he trained as a stone mason, a trade he worked in for 12yrs producing work for Buckingham palace, Harrods and Westminster Abbey. Phil also served in his local church as a small group and youth leader and as a deacon before feeling the call of God on his life Pastoral ministry.  After spending 2yrs studying at The London Theological Collage Phil worked for a short while at ‘The Slade Free Church’ before taking up his first pastorate in West Sussex ‘Lindfield Evangelical Free Church’ where he served as pastor for six years before being called to Wem where he has served as Pastor since 1998, He is a keen motorcyclist and pretty poor golf player and has had the privilege of visiting a number of countries around the world sharing the gospel message
